Ingredients:

  • 200g (7 oz) chow mein noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 150g (5 oz) bean sprouts
  • 200g (7 oz) protein of your choice (chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu), thinly sliced or diced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, chopped, for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
